Confidentiality - Where necessary, tables in this dataset have had small values randomised to protect confidentiality. As a result, sums of components may not add exactly to totals. Cells with 0 values have not been affected by randomisation. These very minor adjustments allow for a greater amount of data to be released, and do not affect the utility of the data. Accordingly, the ABS does not recommend summing small cells together to aggregate data.Occurrence data is subject to change, as deaths that occurred prior to the reference year may not yet be registered, and are registered in subsequent years. Use care when interpreting occurrence data for recent years. Occurrence data includes deaths registered up to 31 December of the reference year of this release.Occurrence data for the reference year of this release is incomplete due to delays between the occurrence and registration of deaths. For further information, refer to Explanatory Notes - Data Quality - Interval between occurrence and registration of deaths.
